Pride

http://nehrhaolam.weebly.com

Scriptures say that “[…] if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither [does] the  Elohim’s assembly” (1 Corinthians 11:16). The proud coerce their victims with questions.         There will be times when our own brothers would love to enter into a biblical debate. Other than the fact that we really should not have such a practice within our fellowship, the Bible leads us to understand the reason why such a desire arises within some to want to debate Scriptures.

Sabbath Hope

http://nehrhaolam.weebly.com

Aaliyah, a two years old child from South Africa, sits at her window sill waiting for daddy to come home. She tends to look out the window and see all the cars passing by; however, she recognizes daddy’s blue car as he pulls up the driveway, beeps his horn, wave at his daughter with a great big smile on his face, walks up the door and rings the doorbell. With a big happy smile on her face, Aaliyah says, “Daddy, daddy, daddy!” and runs to the door.

The Blood Moon Prophecies

http://nehrhaolam.weebly.com

Heaven (Part III)

http://nehrhaolam.weebly.com

Previously, we discussed how the international body of Messiah perceives heaven, the place where the Heavenly Father established His throne as well as the source wherewith He exercises His sovereign authority over the nations of the earth (reference the study entitled “Heaven”).

Heaven

http://nehrhaolam.weebly.com

Many are under the impression that they will be rewarded with eternal life conditions in heaven. Some, under the pressure of risking eternal condemnation, devout most of their entire lives submitting themselves to the authority of their religious institution under the most impoverished conditions hoping that the end result will be greater than the one that they’ve suffered in this life. Yet, if these who have suffered so much were informed about what the Scriptures say about heaven, they’d possibly make better life choices for themselves and their family.

God-Fearers: A Light to the Nations

http://ffoz.org

In light of the release of God-Fearers, I am doing a series of blogs that further explores the topics introduced in the book as well as answer some frequently asked questions. Last summer I wrote a God-Fearers blog entitled “Separated to Do” where I discussed God’s selection of the Jewish nation as his chosen people and what that means for the nations. We concluded that Israel was separated not to...

A Spiritual Awakening

http://nehrhaolam.weebly.com

That which I once believed to be true is no longer the same today as it was yesterday,” these were the words of Amanda Parking.             Amanda was raised in an Evangelical Christian church. For years, she believed in a number of things that she thought was Christian doctrine and gospel truths.

The Kippah

http://nehrhaolam.weebly.com

When it comes to answering cultural, biblical practices that many are unfamiliar with, it can be quite a headache. For some odd reason, the conversation changes from being able to provide a biblical explanation as to “Why do Jews wear the kippah?” to the petitioner’s desire for Jews to meet the social norms that they reason to be the more appropriate one without realizing that they’re infringing upon Jewish cultural values. I myself have been asked on numerous occasions about my kippah only to wind up in a very defensive disposition about it.

Why Don’t More Orthodox Jews Wear Techelet?

http://ffoz.org

Last week I posted a blog on a new discovery in the field of techelet research. A piece of fabric that was discovered in the 1950s near the Dead Sea was recently tested and found to be dyed with secretions from the Murex trunculus. There is an ongoing debate as to what the source of the techelet blue in the Bible really was. This new discovery has caused some to...
