Levertoff - The Early Years

http://ffoz.org

Many great men through the ages have made tremendous contributions to the community of faith - yet some have remained more obscure than others. Paul Philip Levertoff was a twentieth-century Jewish believer from an Orthodox-Chasidic background. His life and work is nearly lost to time. FFOZ is preparing to republish the works of Dr. Levertoff as well as many other great Jewish believers.

Greatness Begins With Small Things

http://feedproxy.google.com

In spirituality, an action is valued by its strength and the help rendered. For example, mother takes care of a child, trying with all her strength to fulfill the child’s desires. The same happens in a group: I am trying very hard to unite with my friends in order to fulfill their desire.

The Jewish Calendar Year

http://www.multifaiths.com

A lunar year has twelve months of either 29 or 30 days each, which yields a 354-day year. To ensure the same festivals always fall in the same season each year, an additional month (Adar II) is added seven times in every nineteen years to make up the difference.  Determining what marks a new year is a bit complicated.

The Zohar Holds A Healing Power For The Soul

http://feedproxy.google.com

At the time of the Messiah (the correction of humanity), evil increases and impudence and vice will be led by the heads of the mixed multitude (Erev Rav). Then the Hidden Light will appear from the Heaven – The Book of Zohar, followed by the writings of the Holy Ari. And this learning will root out the evil in our souls. We will be rewarded with cleaving to the Upper Light, and we will be rewarded all the virtues in the world.

You Can’t Cheat Your Way Into Spirituality

http://feedproxy.google.com

If we don’t correct something inside of us in time, then this “tail” keeps dragging behind us and greatly complicates our lives, like a heavy burden we are carrying. For example, what did a newborn baby do to suddenly receive so many problems and suffering in this world? The matter is that the baby is born into this world with all the “baggage” of the past, all the things he went through and did not correct in the previous lives.
